Goldilocks and the Three Bears Short Story Printable

Once upon a time, in a quaint little cottage in the woods, lived a family of three bears – Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear. One sunny morning, Mama Bear decided to make some porridge for breakfast. As the porridge cooled down, the family decided to take a walk in the woods.

Meanwhile, a curious little girl named Goldilocks happened to stumble upon their cottage. Peeking inside, she saw the steaming bowls of porridge on the table. Without thinking twice, she entered the cottage and helped herself to the porridge. But alas, the porridge was too hot for her liking!

Goldilocks Explores the Cottage

Undeterred by the hot porridge, Goldilocks decided to explore the rest of the cottage. She wandered into the living room and spotted three chairs – a big one, a medium-sized one, and a small one. She tried sitting on each one, but none of them felt just right. The big chair was too hard, the medium-sized chair was too soft, but the small chair was just perfect. Goldilocks was delighted and settled comfortably in the small chair.

Next, Goldilocks found herself in the bedroom, where she discovered three beds – a big one, a medium-sized one, and a small one. She tried each bed, but none of them felt comfortable. The big bed was too firm, the medium-sized bed was too lumpy, but the small bed was just right. Exhausted from her adventures, Goldilocks drifted off to sleep in the small bed.

The Three Bears Return

Meanwhile, the three bears had finished their walk and returned home to find their cottage in disarray. Papa Bear growled, Mama Bear gasped, and Baby Bear cried at the sight of a stranger in their home. They followed the trail of mess and discovered Goldilocks fast asleep in Baby Bear’s bed. Startled awake, Goldilocks screamed and ran out of the cottage, never to return.

The three bears were relieved to see the intruder gone and decided to tidy up their cottage. From that day on, they made sure to lock their doors whenever they left the house. And as for Goldilocks, she learned her lesson about entering someone else’s home without permission. And so, the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears became a cautionary tale passed down through generations.
